Luke just finished reading a book!!!!!!

He actually enjoyed it. Shock! Horror!
I knew this trip would be life changing but I had no idea...

PS The book in question is the international bestseller Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. For those who haven't read it or seen the new movie version directed by Sean Penn or know the tragic story of Chris McCandless, you really should get your hands on a copy and read about the true story of a well-to-do young man who hitchhiked into the Alaskan wilderness and never returned. Hell, it must have been good if Luke finished it.

Thank you for your daily report. I find them most interesting and look forward to the next entry. Sorry to read about your kombi, hope the repairs work out for you and you can continue over the Nullabor. We live in Tasmania but enjoy our annual 6 weeks on the big island to the north. We haven't driven the Nullabor but have it on our agenda so will wait on your comments. Congratulations on the reading of "Into the Wild", we are going to see the film which is on at our lovely State Theatre in North Hobart at the moment.

Thanks so much for your comment and we are so glad you enjoy reading the blog! I have been meaning to reply for so long but we never get much time to stop and use the net, so I try to do a post when I have computer time! We have just been to the Flinders Ranges which was magnificent.Untouched and beautiful. But bloody hot at 38 degrees yesterday and 37 again today. I will write a post on it soon! Thanks again for your comments - we love to read them! The Nullabor is next!
